Each graduate is assigned a mentor who can provide guidance and advice, throughout the programme. This is normally a highly experienced Senior manager within the business who will be independent from line management.

The mentor's role is to advise and help a graduate develop long-term potential and act as a go-to-person outside of line management to give an experienced ear. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is encouraged throughout the graduate programme in addition to the residential training. This is made available through internal and external training courses and through professional qualifications.

Each graduate is encouraged to keep a learning log where they can record all their training and experience as evidence of their learning.
