After completing my degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, I joined Croda through the graduate program. My first experience working in the company was as in the technical lab being trained into Personal and Health Care market segments, where I had the opportunity to work with a great team, in an environment full of innovation, fun and creative ideas liaising with different areas as Sales, Marketing, R&D among others.
I begun work as a Product Specialist job working with the Technical Marketing team. I had the chance to work closely to Sales teams, visiting customers, promoting our portfolio and giving support on formulation development. Giving technical training, launching new products to the Sales and Distributors teams, customer workshops and collaboration work, new product development, and liaising with R&D were tasks that I became involved in. I also had the chance to expand my regional and global network, which was really rewarding and encouraged me to move forward in my career at Croda.
September 2007 to August 2013
Through this period I had a very rich experience working in different market segments as an Account Manager. Health Care, Polymers and Coatings, Lubricants and CropCare were areas that I had the opportunity to be challenged with, on different business environments through the chemical industry facing very different customer needs. After the Uniqema acquisition, came new capabilities, new markets and fantastic new colleagues. I experienced working with a global perspective, expanding my network and learning about new cultures, turning the business analysis broader, facing new negotiations and developments in constant communication with our team. It was great to develop business into new markets, and from 2009 I was dedicated to Crop Care being responsible for mapping the segment, strengthening our brand awareness and building a reliable sales pipeline.
During this time I was promoted to Area Sales Manager Crop Care Brazil and was responsible for managing the Customer Service area. Setting the strategies for business growth and developing others was part of my job. It was great to set and put in to practice a new market development plan for Brazil, which resulted in new opportunities, new customers and projects.
2014 to present
During 2014 I joined the 2020 Network programme for the Americas team. This was a fantastic experience to work with different cultures and leadership styles. I was appointed to the role of Business Development Manager CropCare LATAM, where I’m responsible for the strategy in the region. I’m currently working on a very interesting project regarding new manufacturing capabilities. The opportunity to work with fantastic people and a great team so fine-tuned regionally and globally is really rewarding.
