This role carries responsibility for identifying, maintaining and developing profitable sales in the Geotech market in line with annual targets/sales plans, and for growing the Brazilian market in this sector by identifying potential sales opportunities and following up new leads and sample requests.

As the successful candidate, you will be educated to degree level in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline. In addition you will also have previous experience of working in the chemical or related industries, preferably within a customer facing or sales role in the Geotech market. You must be a pro-active self-starter who is highly motivated, with excellent commercial acumen. Fluent Portuguese, English and good organisation skills are essential to this role, as is the ability to plan and organise your own workload

We currently have a vacancy for an Engineering Manager, based at our Rawcliffe Bridge site in East Yorkshire. As a key member of the engineering team at the site, the responsibilities of this role will include process safety, project management and process optimisation. As a line manager for a small team, you will also be responsible for ensuring that your team are fully functional through action management and regular appraisals.

Educated to degree level, you will ideally be a chartered engineer with some experience of working in a similar environment and a broad awareness of all key engineering disciplines. Experience of line management would also be an advantage in this role. You should be a self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritise your own workload to deal with conflicting demands. Good project management skills are also essential, and a general NEBOSH certificate would be beneficial.

This role will be responsible for identifying future market needs and recommending those for technical and/ or marketing investment. The successful candidate will be a critical contributor to the development and implementation of the business strategy.

To be successful you will be educated to degree level in a technical or business discipline, and ideally have a further business qualification (e.g. MBA, Post Grad Diploma) or relevant work experience. You should have a good understanding of the agrochemical and/ or pharmaceutical industries and their marketplace trends. You should be a results focused individual, with excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills and commercial awareness, ideally demonstrated in a strategic intelligence role. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and good planning and organisational skills are also essential for this role.

The location of the role is quite flexible within our global organisation but a location close to agrochemical and pharma industry hubs would be advantageous.

An opportunity has arisen to join the technical team at our Rawcliffe Bridge site as a Lead QC Analyst (Shift). Reporting to the QC Team Leader the role holder will perform mainly in-process testing in order to provide technical guidance to the Production team and to solve problems as required. The role will assume responsibility for the QC laboratory outside of standard working hours.

Educated to HND or degree level in Chemistry or a related subject, you will also have previous experience gained in a QC or process chemistry environment. You will need to demonstrate that you are an articulate communicator with strong organisational skills and attention to detail. You should also be a good team worker, and have excellent analytical skills.

We currently have a vacancy at our Oak Road site in Hull for an Electrical Maintenance Technician. The main purpose of this role is to carry out reactive and planned maintenance to the site electrical systems to optimise manufacturing equipment availability, whilst working within site health and safety procedures at all times. The role also assists the shift electrician, at times providing shift cover and also carrying out a small amount of installation project work.

To be successful you must be an experienced apprentice trained electrician with a C&G in electrical installation or equivalent, and should also have passed a recognised COMPEX training course and BS7671 (17th Edition). In addition, you will have experience of, or be willing to undertake training to find and repair minor faults on I&C systems and troubleshoot/rectify simple PLC faults. Experience of working in the chemical industry would be an advantage but is not essential. You should have excellent problem solving skills, and the ability to work as part of a team. Good communications skills, both written and verbal, are essential, as is a good level of attention to detail.

Due to a review of staffing levels we currently have a number of vacancies at our Oak Road site in Hull for Instrument and Control (I&C) Maintenance Technicians. The main duties of this role are to carry out both planned and reactive maintenance of instrumentation, including associated fault finding and problem solving. You should be conversant with P&ID drawings and have the ability to programme equipment such as controllers and flow meters, as well as experience of equipment calibration. Experience with ATEX regulations and equipment would be a distinct advantage.

To be successful you should have completed a recognised apprenticeship which is appropriate to this role, hold applicable qualifications (eg. City & Guilds, NVQ 3, BTEC,) and have excellent experience of working within I&C maintenance. You should have excellent problem solving skills, and the ability to work as part of a team. Good communications skills, both written and verbal, are essential, as is a good level of attention to detail.

A strong technical background is also essential. Experience of working on a complex processing plant, preferably within the bio-fermentation industry, is essential, as is a NEBOSH certification.

Previous line management experience is essential to this role, and experience of working in a GMP environment would be beneficial. You should have a creative and innovative mind, with the ability to solve complex problems, whilst effectively leading a team.
