Brazil
Originally formed in Sao Paulo in 1974, Croda Brazil moved to nearby Campinas in 1981, expanding operations by setting up a lanolin manufacturing facility – a successful move fuelled by the fact that Brazil is the most important personal/health care and industrial market in South America.
A new, state-of-the-art facility, was opened in 2002 to make USP grade lanolin, and is the only plant in Latin America capable of doing this. In 2007, Croda Brazil opened a new, ‘world class’ ester plant, doubling capacity and conforming to the principles of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
In addition to lanolin products, the range includes other natural based specialities and oleochemicals for the personal care, health care, animal health, home care, crop care, polymers and coatings, lubricants and lubricant additives, and other industrial markets.

Crodamazon
An exciting development is Crodamazon, a range of natural oils based on the ‘Fruits of the Amazon Rainforest’, which are now marketed worldwide, mainly for hair and skin care applications. The Crodamazon project is carried out in partnership with the small companies and communities located on the banks of the Amazon and in the forest, pursuing a policy of preserving natural resources and ensuring sustainability, whilst promoting the socio-economic development of the region.
