Today, Croda International Plc, the name behind high performance ingredients and technologies that are relied on by industries and consumers everywhere, are celebrating that Marco Carmini, Managing Director of Croda Brazil & Latin America, has become the Head of the Sustainable Development Committee for the Brazilian Chemical Industry Association (ABIQUIM).
Croda focuses on using Smart Science to Improve Lives™ by innovating with their customers to sustainably meet consumer needs. This focus on sustainability makes Carmini an excellent ambassador for sustainability within the Brazilian chemical industry.
Through his long-term tenure in Research & Technology prior to starting his career as business head, Carmini has developed knowledge of both product sustainability benefits in use and the importance of using bio-based raw materials. Through his work at Croda, he will bring excellent first-hand knowledge to this role.
His focus will be on how the chemical industry in Brazil can commit to, and help meet, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. He will also provide education on the important contributions that the chemical industry can make to the sustainable development of the country, as well as providing advice on relevant legislation and regulations.
