Croda and Anome Collaboration Promises a Positive Difference in Beauty Effects
Croda International Plc (‘Croda’), the name behind high performance ingredients and technologies that are relied on by industries and consumers everywhere, is very proud to announce a new collaborative partnership with Anomera, an award-winning innovator in green chemistry, materials science and sustainable manufacturing. Croda have become the exclusive distributor of Anomera’s materials in the Personal Care Market. In addition to global distribution, the partners will also collaborate to develop unique and innovative multifunctional ingredients and meet the beauty industry and consumer needs.
Anomera is an innovative Canadian company, based in Québec, focused on the development of high quality Carboxylated Cellulose Nanocrystals, which are converted into a micron sized powder. “We investigated the world of Personal Care companies and found Croda to be ideal for Anomera” stated Howard Fields, Anomera’s CEO and President. “Croda is a leader in sustainable and ethical ingredients and best aligned with Anomera’s vision to redefine cellulose for the future.”
In the upcoming months, Croda will deliver the first step of the partnership by introducing the ChromaPurTM range to the Personal Care market. This new class of natural cellulose powders is based on an environmentally friendly process using Black Spruce Pulp sustainably harvested in Canadian forests.
Croda is committed to being the most sustainable supplier of innovative ingredients. Embedding our Purpose and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through their actions, Croda will create, make and deliver solutions to tackle some of the biggest challenges the world is facing and is engaged to becoming Climate, Land and People Positive by 2030. Anomera’s philosophy and technology are perfectly aligned with this purpose and both companies are happy to combine their knowledge and passion to offer a positive difference in the Personal Care industry.
Jennifer Hart, Managing Director of Croda’s Beauty Effects business unit commented “At Croda, we’re passionate about delivering ‘Smart Science to Improve Lives’. The technology in this case is doubly smart: smart in what it does, in terms of providing effects that consumers want in their beauty products; and smart in what it is - sustainably sourced, natural chemistry produced by an eco-friendly method. We’re excited to share this technology with our customers in 2021.”
