Croda Scores High on Climate Water & Reporting

Croda, the global specialty chemical manufacturer, has achieved their highest score to date on the 2015 Climate Change CDP disclosure and their first Water impacts disclosure scored above the industry average.

CDP is a non-profit organisation that benchmarks company’s environmental impacts against their peers. In 2015, Croda achieved their highest score to date for Climate Change impacts: 96B (on a scale of 100A – 0E). The disclosure score improved to 96, from 92 in 2014, and the company maintained their ‘B’ rating for performance.

2015 also marked the first year that Croda’s disclosure of water management data to CDP was benchmarked, and they received a ‘B’ rating, ahead of the global average and industry average score of ‘B-’ (on a scale of A-F).

Croda are one of the few companies globally to disclose data against all three CDP programmes on Water, Climate Change and Forests. Their Forest score is due to be published in December 2015.

Terry Thistlethwaite, VP of Sustainability at Croda commented: “We are very encouraged with the outcome of CDP’s assessment of our 2015 disclosures so far. We are fully committed to minimising our impacts on the environment, and our transparent disclosure of data against all three CDP programmes is illustrative of this.”
