Croda's Commitment to a Sustainable Future Recognised by CDP

Croda International Plc, who create, make and sell innovative, sustainable, high performance speciality chemicals that are relied on by industries and consumers everywhere, are proud to announce that their commitment to minimising the environmental impacts of their Business has been recognised with a ‘A-’ Climate Change score by CDP for their 2017 activities.

CDP runs a global disclosure system designed to enable companies to better measure and manage their environmental performance through reporting and benchmarking. For 2017, Croda improved their 2016 ‘B’ rating for Climate Change to an ‘A-’, recognising their ongoing investment in managing their environmental impact through verification of their carbon emissions and the subsequent strategies for energy efficiency improvements over the next four years. This score is against a programme average of ‘C’, with only 22% of organisations who submitted Climate Change Disclosures achieving an ‘A’ or ‘A-‘ rating.

The results for the year also saw Croda maintain their ‘B’ Management rating for their Water Disclosure, against a programme average of ‘C’, together with a Forest Disclosure rating of ‘B’ for their work towards deforestation-free supply chains and a Climate Change Supply Chain score of ‘A-/B’.
