Croda expands advanced drug delivery capabilities through NovoArc collaboration
15 June 2026: Avanti Polar Lipids, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Croda International Plc, has entered into a strategic collaboration with NovoArc GmbH (NovoArc) to expand its range of more than 2,000 lipids for the global pharmaceutical research market.
The collaboration further strengthens Avanti Research’s offering to customers developing next-generation therapies by adding innovative lipid technologies designed to support more stable, effective and flexible drug delivery systems.
NovoArc’s advanced lipid technologies differ from conventional drug delivery materials and are designed to provide improved stability in a wide range of conditions. These characteristics may help enable new formulation approaches and administration routes, including oral delivery options for complex therapeutics that have traditionally required injectable delivery.
By broadening access to these technologies through Avanti Research’s established global platform, customers will be able to more easily explore new approaches to delivering complex medicines, including mRNA, protein and peptide-based therapies. The collaboration is expected to help accelerate research and formulation development, while supporting growing demand for more robust and versatile drug delivery solutions across the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.
The agreement also supports Croda’s growth strategy in high-value pharmaceutical technologies by expanding its differentiated portfolio, through both in-house development and partnerships, and strengthening its position as a partner of choice for customers developing innovative therapeutics. With increasing industry focus on biologics and nucleic acid-based medicines, the collaboration enhances Croda’s ability to support customers from early-stage research through to future commercial scale-up.
