Phase Change Materials
Lightweight construction methods often have poor thermal mass characteristics and tend to quickly heat up and cool down beyond the comfortable temperature range if left uncontrolled. External, energy intensive cooling or heating is therefore required to create a comfortable environment all year-round. CrodaTherm™ bio-based phase change materials can be applied to lightweight building methods to “put back in” high thermal mass characteristics.
CrodaTherm materials are ideal for passive or active cooling systems that absorb heat from a room during the day and then return it at night.
We have a range of additives designed to improve concrete performance. This covers applications such as corrosion inhibition, mold release, superplasticising and waterproofing. Our additives are designed to deliver improved performance as well as having cost saving benefits for concrete producers and formulators.
We have a range of surfactants that can be used in the bitumen production process to improve efficiency. Our surfactants help to lower viscosity, improve surface adhesion properties, reduce VOC emissions and reduce energy costs. As well as surfactants, we have processing aids to help improve the bitumen quality. Our processing aids help to reduce refining and storage temperatures as well as adjust acid values to improve bitumen emulsion formation.
