Human Performance programme

Our behavioural safety improvement programmes were standardised into a Group-wide Behavioural Safety Observation programme, implemented across all manufacturing sites since 2015.

Following the launch of our ambitious 2030 safety target, having an OSHA Total Recordable Injury Rate in the top 10% for the chemical industry, in 2021 we launched our Human Performance programme. Founded on a unique set of principles and designed specifically for our business, this new approach to safety focuses on maximising learning opportunities regarding safety, whenever our people interact, and at all levels within the organisation. This new programme creates opportunities for meaningful conversations about how work is carried out, the real risks people face, and empowers all employees to get involved and provide solutions, enhancing team interactions including individual safety conversations, group meetings and incident investigations.
