In joined Croda in 1997 as part of a university internship programme. Croda was my first formal job and I was very excited to be working for a British multinational company. I joined Croda as a System Programmer at the IT department to customise the local ERP system. One of my first system customisation was to bring agility to the Customer Services department showing on screen all the necessary customer information.
In 2002, Croda Brazil implemented SAP and this gave me the opportunity to work in UK for nine months to learn about SAP where I became the key user for the implementation project in Brazil. The experience of working at the Head Office in Cowick with the SAP team changed my life and my professional perspective. I not only learned about SAP, but also about Croda’s culture, the British culture and made friends for life.
Beginning in 2005 I worked on Croda’s IT infrastructure in the Latin America offices. I travelled in the region to improve IT infrastructure and to support the implementation of Microsoft Navison. This was a great opportunity to learn about new cultures and improve the technology in the areas. I then became responsible for the IT teams in Brazil and responsible for supporting the IT for Latin American countries. In 2007 I decided to leave Croda to work solely as a SAP Project Manager.
In 2012 I returned to Croda as Latin America Regional IT Manager and I was lucky to have the opportunity to return to Croda. In this second period working at Croda, I am looking at ways to improve IT in LATAM. As I have experience in SAP I will use this knowledge to improve SAP local support and work connecting the local IT team into the Global IT structure as well as supporting other areas of the business in LATAM. I am now reporting to the Global IT Organisation and very excited about the challenges and looking forward to contributing to Croda’s success and future.
